In Spanish. In this episode of No Obstante, host Ayme Román talks with Noor Ammar Lamarty, a feminist legal activist of Maghrebi origin, about how her feminist awareness was shaped by migration, from her childhood in Tangier to studying law in Spain.
They discuss her work with Moroccan women seasonal farmworkers, the traps of the debate around the veil, the uncomfortable questions hegemonic white feminism needs to start asking itself, and how the far right uses gender violence to legitimise racism and punitive populism.
